WAR seminar // can you spot human trafficking around you?
One of the most heartbreaking aspects of human trafficking is that it goes on around us (yes, even in Michigan), yet most of us do not recognize it. If you came across trafficked women or children in your community would you be able to identify them as such? If you did, would you know how to respond? Women At Risk, Int’l invites you to our Civilian First Responder 2011 conference to learn about human trafficking in your area and to equip both you and your community to fight against it.
To be successful in fighting human trafficking, we must start in our own backyards. We want everyone from plumbers to hair dressers, school teachers, car-pool moms and medical professionals to know the signs of domestic human trafficking, because with each additional informed responder we have a better chance of solving the problem. Together we can accomplish far more than we can alone, which is why we encourage you to invite your mothers, fathers, spouses, siblings, friends, and co-workers to this event. See the information below for more details, or visit our web site at www.warinternational.org. We look forward to seeing you there!
