{A look inside our hearts...}

As The Blue Ladybug celebrates a year in business existence, we are looking outside of our own selves and families to how we can use our business to help others around us! We believe the blessing of our business is from God, and we want to start using it to bless others. The Lord has really been developing a passion in both our hearts towards a certain organization that’s mission fits SO well with who we are as individuals as well as together co-operating The Blue Ladybug! We are so excited to share with you our burden for this very important cause, and make you more aware of a growing global issue!

Women At Risk, International (WAR, Int’l) is a nonprofit organization established to place circles of protection around women at risk. The purpose and passion of this organization is to wrap arms of love around women and children, whispering the message that they were created for purpose and dignity. Creating safe places for women and children rescued from many abuses including human trafficking/sexual slavery, WAR, Int’l desires to give voice to their silenced cries.

They have an amazing video on their homepage that we WANT you to watch! It describes so well this desperate need to rescue thousands of women and children who are being exploited, trafficked, used and abused everyday around the world. You will get a very clear picture of this desperate need, and what WAR Int’l is and does. We wish we had this video right on our blog! So… do you think you could ever be the same after watching that? We won’t! This is modern-day slavery and most of us don’t realize what a huge crisis this is! Neither of us did until we were introduced to this wonderful organization! The Lord has led our hearts here and we want to use our business to help support WAR Int’l in whatever way possible! As we at The Blue Ladybug live our lives as moms to precious toddlers, and making homemade items for women and children, there are countless women and children who need freedom and who need an opportunity at a new life! WAR Int’l provides this not just by rescuing women and children and placing them in safe houses, but also teaching them skills so that they can support themselves and their families with dignity! Do you see why we feel so connected to this? We want to be a part in helping other moms, other women, in learning handmade skills to support themselves and help them survive!

We’ll be taking the rest of this week to raise awareness about Women At Risk, International and share different aspects of their organization and programs.
